In 2011, Google revolutionized the laptop market with the introduction of Chromebooks, known for their quick performance, ease of use, and robust security on an open-source operating system. Chromebooks envisioned a future of lightweight laptops that perform efficiently without the drawbacks of heavy operating systems. The all-new Chromebook Plus builds on this vision, offering double the performance, built-in Google apps, and powerful AI capabilities, helping users achieve more efficiently and beautifully, all starting at $399.

Double the performance and immersiveness
Chromebook Plus ups the game, making an already fast experience quicker and more immersive with sharper resolution displays, built-in Google apps, and new AI capabilities. To bring this quickness and immersiveness to life, we developed an identity system that purposefully challenges its own boundaries. We allow beautiful laptop imagery to extend past colorful frames and in-app UI to pop off computer screens. The takeaway is a Chromebook Plus experience that accelerates you into amazing.
The Logo
Our first charge was to design the new Chromebook Plus logo, to be featured on product as well as in retail and digital environments.

Chromebook, plus so many amazing features
The embedded syntax within the name Chromebook Plus inspired us to create a simple typographic system for communications about additional “Plus” product features and content partnerships. Chromebook Plus (blank) is a flexible setup that contextualizes the product name and allows content creators to list multiple benefits at once: Intel Core Processor, Adobe, Magic Eraser, Google Workspace, etc.

Capturing devices in motion
Since Chromebook Plus is a new category of Chromebooks, we wanted to bring more dynamism and action to the whole product lineup. We partnered with the 3D motion experts at Colors and the Kids to explore synchronized choreography, setting multiple Chromebook Plus devices in motion. These explorations provided a visual model for showing and discussing the entire device lineup at once.
